It is easiest for us if we see them only as statistics, as number like 200 million street children worldwide or 1.5 million in Philippines. It is easiest to think of them as statistics but they are not statistics they are individuals from whom the precious time of childhood is being stolen. Everyday, at least a street child is seen walking along the streets, looking for a place to stay. They are thin, untidy, and undernourished, hardly equipped to survive the hazards of everyday living and working on the streets.
I managed to take this unique representation of how street children live their everyday lives during the Scott Kelby’s Third Annual Worldwide Photowalk.
